While CapaSystems has a history of offering device management solutions, our on-premise options, CapaInstaller and PerformanceGuard, are becoming more complex to manage. These systems require dedicated IT staff to set up, maintain, and update the various services and databases.

Solution

We sought a cloud-based solution that offered the core functionalities of our existing products without the burden of infrastructure management. Scaleway's user-friendly platform allows our team to focus on developing new features and improvements rather than IT maintenance. Scaleway's infrastructure allowed us to scale our services seamlessly to support a growing number of devices and customers.

11 Instances (POP2 and POP2-HM), for both our production and development
We selected these machines specifically for their high memory capacity, which is crucial for our multi-tenant SaaS solution.
We are gradually moving all our services to 2 x Kubernetes Clusters, a K8s cluster, for prod and development to ensure easy scalability.
4 x Load Balancers
Because of our agent design, we require many live connections, and with multiple load balancers, handling 100k+ live connections is not a problem.
MySQL Servers, we wanted a managed solution with no self-maintenance

We chose Scaleway mainly due to its ease of use and compliance with GDPR legislation.

Results

Scaleway's infrastructure allowed us to scale our services seamlessly. We currently support over 100,000 devices for over 100 customers.
We are moving towards a fully managed solution with all services running in Kubernetes.
