Customer Success Story : Dioptase

In 2020, our systems team of just two employees successfully managed the transition of our solution to full SaaS mode at Scaleway. Today, thanks to Scaleway, we can deploy a portal in just 3 minutes and perform server upgrades without downtime.
About the company
Dioptase is constantly developing services adapted to any situation for the secure collection, routing and control of IoT data.
They provide their customers with management portals which, whatever the form or method, centralize all data on a full web platform.
Challenges
Due to a demanding industrial market characterized by rapidly evolving IoT technologies, Dioptase must
implement and support new functionalities through short update cycles.
Their systems team must also be able to deploy or upgrade a dedicated SaaS portal in a matter of minutes.
To alleviate this problem, they need a hosting provider offering full compatibility with Ansible, IoT services in line with current standards, high elasticity, various storage options (such as S3 buckets), managed relational databases with high availability, and support tailored to a small team.
Results
Thanks to Scaleway's Ansible configuration manager, collections and pre-installed server images, they can deploy a complete portal in just a few minutes. What's more, using the Scaleway CLI enables them to manage all their use cases efficiently, filtering their actions using a dynamic inventory.
Dioptase technical architecture
With Scaleway, they can deploy a portal in just 3 minutes and perform server upgrades without downtime.
Future Plans
Dioptase plans to integrate OpenSearch/Elasticsearch into the Scaleway ecosystem to optimize indexing and make their portal faster. In addition, the arrival of the Edge service will improve access times to cold data.
