Initially, Good Tape users couldn't store their audio files, as developers were reluctant to rely entirely on previous providers. At the same time, they sought to optimize file conversion efficiency to reduce storage costs and improve audio playback reliability.

Results

Using Scaleway's object storage, Good Tape secured its users' audio files at a transparent cost. The service, reliable thanks to its Multi-AZ resilience and SSE-C encryption, enabled GoodTape to optimize its file conversion pipeline with Kubernetes Kapsule for increased performance and scalability. This made it possible to offer audio playback with near-zero latency, while meeting resilience and security requirements, at a competitive price, with no hidden costs and pay-per-fetch rates.

Future Plans

As Good Tape plans to improve data retrieval and transcript analysis for its users, Scaleway's managed inference is set to play a key role. It will reduce the burden of configuring and deploying the various models required for the research and development of future complex functionalities.
